Rape , Sexual Assault and Domestic Assault are crimes where the victim (Survivor) is violated not only by the crime but by society as well. They are crimes by which religion, culture and the attitude of society turn against the victim (Survivor).
On reporting a case the Survivor is promptly assisted and referred to a Sexual Assault Referral Center or closest Primary Health Care Centre such as Mirabel Center or WARIF to receive medical examination and attention.
These institutions are equipped with Rape Kits and trained doctors who carry out the examinations with the utmost care and empathy for the Survivor.
In the event of severe psychological trauma , a counselor is also assigned to the Survivor to help with stabilizing mental health.

The survivor is then assisted in reporting at the Gender Desk of the nearest Police station for further investigation and help in facilitating the arrest of the suspect.
The Suspect is then charged to court through the help of the Nigerian Police
